Joyce ''Granny'' Blasingame, 86, of Greenbrier, Arkansas, widow of Eugene Blasingame and daughter of the late James A. and Stella (Duncan) Hall, departed from this life on Saturday, August 30, 2008 to be with her Lord and Saviour.
Mrs. Blasingame was ''Granny'' to many and always had a kind word. She was a member of Cockleburr Baptist Church. She could make any dish taste the best and loved to garden. She was a lifetime member of the Eastern Star.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a son; James Blasingame, three sisters; Ophelia Holden, Omega Marsh, and Geraldine Pfahlert, and one brother; J. L. Hall.
She is survived by her daughter; Stella and Melvin Standridge of Greenbrier, Arkansas, seven grandchildren; Jim Blasingame of Grapevine, Texas, Keith Blasingame of Vilonia, Arkansas, Katrina Driesenga and LaJuana Moore of Conway, Arkansas, Adrian Blasingame of Cabot, Arkansas, Tammy Lee and Libby Newton of Greenbrier, Arkansas, and seven great-grandchildren.
Services will be held at 10:00 a.m., on Tuesday, September 2, 2008 in the chapel of Roller-McNutt Funeral Home, Greenbrier with Bro. Allen Jackson officiating. Visitation will be from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m., on Monday, September 1, 2008.
