of Mountain Home, AR
May 14, 1963 - January 16, 2026
Jonnie Keith Gardner of Mountain Home, Arkansas, was born on May 11, 1963, and passed away on January 16, 2026, at the age of 62. He was raised in Plattsburg, Missouri.
Jonnie was preceded in death by his father, James ''Sonny'' Gardner; his mother, Phyllis White; and his brothers, Jimmy, Joey, and Jackie Gardner. He is lovingly remembered by his lifelong partner, Diane Edwards; his uncle, Raymond ''Kiki'' White; his aunts, Helen Perman, Doris Ferguson, and Rose Utter; along with many dear cousins, nieces, and nephews from Missouri.
Jonnie was a true jack-of-all-trades and could fix just about anything. He lived an active life and loved the outdoors. He enjoyed hunting morel mushrooms, fishing, boating, chopping and splitting wood, and cheering for the Kansas City Chiefs. He loved animals and took excellent care of them; they will surely miss him. But most of all, he loved riding his Harley-Davidson motorcycles. No matter the weather, he would always say, ''It's a good day for a ride.''
Although Jonnie was not in the military, he fought many battles in his life. His greatest battle was against lung cancer. He was a warrior! He did everything right and he beat cancer. He died a hero.
Jonnie will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him and was truly gone too soon.
A celebration of life is planned to be held in June at the Blue Heaven Resort Pavillion. His burial will be held at Reed cemetery in Edgerton. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Operation Light Shine at www.operationlightshine.org.

Ride wild, ride free…..till we meet again!

My deepest condolences to you Diane and to his family. It's hard to believe he is gone. I'll always remember his great smile. He was a hard worker and great at fishing. He Loved cutting wood, and hunting those morel mushrooms, and he Loved riding his motorcycle. He always had a story to tell. I remember when he stopped our painting class to show all of us that huge snake way up in the treehouse. I know he was always a big part of your life and he still is. I pray that God will comfort you and I know that you will see him again. Sending all my love. Sharlene

We will greatly miss Jonnie. He was a wonderful friend. He was the real deal, honest, told you what he thought. Loved Diane, his animals, fishing, riding his Harley's & a true friend. Good memories. We love & miss you Jonnie. Rest easy.

He was a good friend of ours. He will be missed by us and many others. He always had a charming smile love to cut up and tease and tell his stories. He walked the hills searching for that "ol honey hole" where the mushrooms grew. He always said spitting on his bait was the reason he could catch more fish🤣 you always knew when he was on his bike you could hear him pumping that throttle to hear his ol bike talk... miss you bud fly high I know you are...

My deepest sympathy to you Diane and John's family. I never met him but know what a great guy he was with sharing life with you, Diane, by what you always said about him.

You promised you would never leave me. I'll never be the same without you. I get through my day pretending you are just gone on a bike ride and will be home in time for dinner.
Rest in peace my love.

See you later!
