Jonnie K. Gardner

of Mountain Home, AR

May 14, 1963 - January 16, 2026

Jonnie Keith Gardner of Mountain Home, Arkansas, was born on May 11, 1963, and passed away on January 16, 2026, at the age of 62. He was raised in Plattsburg, Missouri.

Jonnie was preceded in death by his father, James ''Sonny'' Gardner; his mother, Phyllis White; and his brothers, Jimmy, Joey, and Jackie Gardner. He is lovingly remembered by his lifelong partner, Diane Edwards; his uncle, Raymond ''Kiki'' White; his aunts, Helen Perman, Doris Ferguson, and Rose Utter; along with many dear cousins, nieces, and nephews from Missouri.

Jonnie was a true jack-of-all-trades and could fix just about anything. He lived an active life and loved the outdoors. He enjoyed hunting morel mushrooms, fishing, boating, chopping and splitting wood, and cheering for the Kansas City Chiefs. He loved animals and took excellent care of them; they will surely miss him. But most of all, he loved riding his Harley-Davidson motorcycles. No matter the weather, he would always say, ''It's a good day for a ride.''

Although Jonnie was not in the military, he fought many battles in his life. His greatest battle was against lung cancer. He was a warrior! He did everything right and he beat cancer. He died a hero.

Jonnie will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him and was truly gone too soon.

A celebration of life is planned to be held in June at the Blue Heaven Resort Pavillion. His burial will be held at Reed cemetery in Edgerton.  In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Operation Light Shine at www.operationlightshine.org.
