I've known Dickey for many years going back to the mid-80's. I was an officer at CPD and he was at CFD. Worked around him many times at fires, accident scenes, etc. Dickey was always a solid dude you could depend on, and he was a great firefighter, a man I considered 'my brother". In the last several months I saw him a few times at the donut shop in Vilonia. Always enjoyed talking with Dickey. My deepest sympathy and prayers to his good family. My brother, you will be missed a lot. Rest easy ole' friend.

May GOD give each family member PEACE and COMFORT at this time. Praying for each of you. Brother Dickie you will be missed at all of our Masonic Meetings.

Dickey you will be missed 😢

Dickey has been a great friend for close to 25 years. We loved to drive our Model A's everywhere. I can see you setting in your Model A, feet hanging out the door holding your fishing pole with a big grin. Every time I drive the firetruck I'll be thinking of you and Dean! I know a lot of us will miss you!

I will always remember and appreciate the large Fortner family gatherings he hosted for several years. Rest in Peace, cousin.

I knew Dicky when I was a Police Officer for the City of Conway. Dickey was always professional and was a very sweet man. I know he will be missed by his family and the people he worked with over the years. Peace to all.

So sorry to hear of Dickeys passing. He was a great guy. We lived a couple of houses away when all growing up. He and Mickey plus me & my sister Becky were always on bikes & we all got muddy digging crawdads out of the ditch down the street. Good times. Rest in peace Dickey and catchup with Ricky and your twin Mickey plus Becky who just left us in Dec. Prayers for family and friends.

REST IN PEACE

Sorry to hear this. I went to school with Dickey and Mickey. My prayers for the family.

My thoughts & prayers are with all of you. I am so very sorry to hear of his passing. I grew up with those boys. (I will soon be 76. ) Skinny and my daddy worked together for 35yrs at AP&L so I know well how the hunting and fishing fit in. My daddy (JD PRATT) was one of the biggest fishermen & hunters ' in Faulkner County.
Again, my thoughts, my prayers & sympathies are with you all. 🙏🏼♥️"🙏🏼

I spent many years partnered with Dickie at CFD. He was a good officer to work under. I learned many things from Dickie. He will be missed, but I have May great memories about him.

Some good times with Captain, RIP Brother

A very dear friend since 1980. He ran EMS runs with me
I will truly miss him, and his lifetime friendship.
Till we meet in heaven, enjoy your angel wings , well deserved sweet friend.

Put Captain Fortner along with Captains Gate's and Fid on the nozzle, the fire was going out. Dick was a good man and a gritty firefighter. You could count on him not only on the fire ground , but to help with projects away from the job. A good one, who took pride in his job and the department .
