John Morris White Sr, age 84, passed away peacefully at his home in West Helena on Monday, December 22, 2025. He was surrounded by his family. Mr. White was born May 5, 1941, in Oneida, Arkansas to the late Morris and Mary Frances White. Mr. White was a member of Calvary Baptist Church in West Helena, Arkansas.
He is survived by his wife of fifty-eight years, Nancy White; one daughter, Lisa Flowers (Richie) of Winston Salem, North Carolina; three sons, Johnny White (Pam) of Cabot, Arkansas, Brian White (Robyn) of Helena, Arkansas and Brad White (Misty) of Elaine, Arkansas; ten grandchildren; eleven great grandchildren; sister, Martha Akers.
The family would like to offer special thanks to Gentiva Hospice for the care he received, especially his nurse, Velisha Craig, and his aide, Chanita Harris.
Pallbearers will be Johnny White, Richie Flowers, Brian White, Brad White, Tristan White and Preston White.
Honorary pallbearers will be Matt Gibbs, Hudson Gibbs, Curtis Hoover, Darrell Burks, David Bartlett, Roosevelt Frierson, Carl Ewing, and Randy Warfield.
A funeral service honoring the life of Mr. John White will be held at 11:00 a.m. Monday, December 29, 2025, at Calvary Baptist Church in West Helena, Arkansas. A visitation will be held prior at 10:00 a.m. Interment will follow at Central Cemetery in Lexa, Arkansas. Brother Craig Routon will officiate.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that any memorials be made to Calvary Baptist Church in West Helena, 97 Phillips 302, West Helena, Arkansas 72390.

Nancy, I am a daughter-in-law to Charles Hicks Sr. He asked if I would send a message to you on his behalf. He said to pass along to you his deepest sympathy for your loss. He fondly remembers his childhood hanging around with John when they were young boys. There's lots of great memories with John when they both stayed at their grandmother's house. Charles said he's so sorry to hear of John's passing. He knows words can't ease your pain, but he hopes you know that he is praying for you during this difficult time.

Great memories of growing up with John & his sister, Martha. John held true to to the saying that ''dynamite comes in small packages '' as he was one real tough little guard on our football team at Barton HS.
