John Morris White Sr, age 84, passed away peacefully at his home in West Helena on Monday, December 22, 2025. He was surrounded by his family. Mr. White was born May 5, 1941, in Oneida, Arkansas to the late Morris and Mary Frances White. Mr. White was a member of Calvary Baptist Church in West Helena, Arkansas.
He is survived by his wife of fifty-eight years, Nancy White; one daughter, Lisa Flowers (Richie) of Winston Salem, North Carolina; three sons, Johnny White (Pam) of Cabot, Arkansas, Brian White (Robyn) of Helena, Arkansas and Brad White (Misty) of Elaine, Arkansas; ten grandchildren; eleven great grandchildren; sister, Martha Akers.
The family would like to offer special thanks to Gentiva Hospice for the care he received, especially his nurse, Velisha Craig, and his aide, Chanita Harris.
Pallbearers will be Johnny White, Richie Flowers, Brian White, Brad White, Tristan White and Preston White.
Honorary pallbearers will be Matt Gibbs, Hudson Gibbs, Curtis Hoover, Darrell Burks, David Bartlett, Roosevelt Frierson, Carl Ewing, and Randy Warfield.
A funeral service honoring the life of Mr. John White will be held at 11:00 a.m. Monday, December 29, 2025, at Calvary Baptist Church in West Helena, Arkansas. A visitation will be held prior at 10:00 a.m. Interment will follow at Central Cemetery in Lexa, Arkansas. Brother Craig Routon will officiate.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that any memorials be made to Calvary Baptist Church in West Helena, 97 Phillips 302, West Helena, Arkansas 72390.
