He loved gardening as well as watching wrestling, westerns, Wheel of Fortune and The Price is Right on TV. Charles also cherished the time he had with his beloved dogs Andy and Cooper.
Survivors include his two daughters, Debra Caplener (Stacey) of Pleasant Plains and Angela Pry (Chris) of Jonesboro; sister, Norma Dean Pettus of Raleigh-Durham, North Carolina; three grandchildren, Adam Caplener, Tristen Pry, and Gabe Pry; one great-grandchild, Hadley River Gray Wallace; and several nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

Charles was older but I grew up with in two miles of his family farm. Dink and Helen and Mr. Lyle and Dr. Lytle were all good friends of my Dads. Mr. Lytle from Batesville drove one of those grey tractors (I think Ford) from Batesville down and back every day when he was farming. I saw Charles years ago when we were getting taxes done at Newport. He told me all about his family and he was so proud of you all. He told me what each one of you had done and were doing. Really a doting dad.
With deepest sympathy,
Cheryl
