Charles Leonard Bell, 87, of Oil Trough, passed away October 13, 2025.
He was born March 21, 1938 in Batesville, Arkansas to Martin Bell and Helen Lytle Bell.
Charles was affectionately known as ''Whitey'', ''Cottontop'', or ''Bud.'' He was a very matter of fact kind of guy without a filter; he was always firm, but loving. He was a veteran of the United States Air Force and worked as a maintenance electrician at Revere, Norandal for 49 years. Charles loved to tinker, he liked motorcycles, and loved ford trucks with his favorite being autographed by Mark Martin. He loved gardening as well as watching wrestling, westerns, Wheel of Fortune and The Price is Right on TV. Charles also cherished the time he had with his beloved dogs Andy and Cooper.
Survivors include his two daughters, Debra Caplener (Stacey) of Pleasant Plains and Angela Pry (Chris) of Jonesboro; sister, Norma Dean Pettus of Raleigh-Durham, North Carolina; three grandchildren, Adam Caplener, Tristen Pry, and Gabe Pry; one great-grandchild, Hadley River Gray Wallace; and several nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents; and sister, Jackie Martin.
A memorial graveside service will be held Saturday, October 25, 2025 at Pleasant Valley Cemetery in Cushman with Craig Wilson officiating under the direction of Roller-Crouch Funeral Home of Batesville.
