April 28, 1939 - March 1, 2024

Sara Elizabeth (Frizzell) Carney, 84, born April 28th, 1939 to the late Georgie and Theodore Frizzell in Humphrey, Arkansas passed away, she was the fourth of ten Children.
Sara is survived by her husband, William Bryant Carney. Sons, Bryant Craig Carney (Wanda), Douglas Allen Carney (Karen), Jeffrey Ivan Carney (Linda) and Jon Eric Carney. She also left behind 8 grandchildren, Craig's children, Brennan, Ayzia, Grayson and Cindy and Doug's children, Kyle, Kellie and Laura. Jeff's daughter, Seaera and nine great- grandchildren. Her Surviving Siblings are Ruby Rogers of Washington, Pat Sublett of Tennessee, Gwendolyn Way of Oregon, Edward Frizzell and Donnie Frizzell both of Conway, Arkansas and a host of nieces and nephews. Sara was preceded in death by her parents, Theodore and Georgie, 3 sisters and 1 brother. Odel Wilson, Francis Parker, Billy Ross and Teddy Frizzell.

Sara graduated from high school at Des Arc, Arkansas in 1957. After graduating she attended bible school in Baxter Springs, Kansas where she met Roland and Loretta Haney. She met them later in Snell, Mississippi to help them in their church. While there, they went to visit Eddie and Nellie Carney of Henton, Alabama where she met Bryant their son. After a short courtship, they married November 25th of 1960 and lived in Butler, Alabama. Soon they move to Hinton, Alabama close to Bryant's parents. They started a family nearly a year later when they had their first boy of four, Craig. A couple years later they had twin boys, Doug and Jeff. In 1968 they felt led to follow the Lord and moved to Arkansas. They settled in the small town of Leslie, where Bryant found a job as a milk truck driver and delivery man. In 1974 they added the fourth of the boys when they had Jon.

They attended the Ozark Chapel where Sara played piano and sang every Sunday for over 30 years. Her passion was following the Lord, her family and enjoying her grandkids and great grandkids. She was the glue that held the family together and the one that always brought joy to the room with her laughter. She was loved by everyone that met her.

Aunt's Sara's laughter and smile will always resonate in my heart as if it is the definition of warmth and comfort itself. I always felt that her presence was a portal straight to Heaven. She is now enjoying the treasures on the other side. I love you, Aunt Sara. So very much. Thank you for your love. I'll hold it forever, until I see you again.
