She was born in St. Louis, Missouri to Paul Wilson Rauls and Mae Alene Pope, the oldest of four children.
Joyce was married to John G. Magyar in St. Louis, Missouri on December 22, 1956. The couple was blessed with six children; Debbie (Ed), John Jr. (Melinda), Paul (Mary), Kimberly (Brian), Sharon (Terry) and Susan (Waylon); 16 grand children and 14 great-grand children.
After studies at St. Louis Baptist College, the University of Missouri-Columbia and Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary, Joyce served with her husband as a Southern Baptist Missionary for 35 years in Colombia, South America.
Upon retirement, the Magyars settled in Conway, Arkansas in 2003.
Family and friends will gather Sunday, February 18th, 2:00 p.m. at Antioch Baptist Church in Conway to celebrate Joyce's life.
Internment is in Crestlawn Memorial Park, Friday, February 23rd at 2:00 p.m.
In lieu of flowers, please consider contributing to purejoyinternational.org. This is a ministry specifically for international missionary women and was very close to Joyce's heart.

What a beautiful soul my Aunt Joyce was! I'll never forget her baking, her sweet spirit, and she always made me feel so welcome when I would spend the night with Kim. And her Easter baskets she would give you 6 kids! I'd ever seen anything like it, so it was fascinating to me as a young girl. My heart is hurting for yours. Please know that you are all in my prayers. I love you all so much. Alot of history...But it is so wonderful to have the assurance that she is now with her Lord, that same One that she gave her life to, and served so faithfully for so many years!
