James SneedI am a Veteran.

of Quitman, AR

April 25, 1937 - March 26, 2022

James Patrick "Pat" Sneed, age 84, of Quitman, passed away on Saturday, March 26, 2022. Pat was born on April 25, 1937, in Quitman, Arkansas, to Fletcher and Nicey Sneed. Pat was a 1955 graduate of Quitman High School. He married his wife, Ann, of 62 years, in 1960, and together they raised a wonderful family that Pat was so proud of. He was a lifetime member of the Quitman United Methodist Church.

Pat was a heavy equipment operator for over 60 years, and was retired from both the Cleburne County Road Department and Alltel. He served in the Arkansas National Guard and was an active duty service member in Fort Bragg, North Carolina, in the 1960s.

Pat raised and showed appaloosa horses for many years, and was one of the best horse traders in the country. He also raised cattle with his best bud and grandson, Brad. Pat was an avid hunter and will long be remembered by his hunting buddies and friends as "Spotted", his longtime CB handle.

Pat was a true cowboy. He made friends everywhere he went, and will be remembered by all for his kind heart and jovial nature.

Pat is preceded in death by his son, Greg Sneed; parents, Fletcher and Nicey Sneed; brothers C.M. Sneed and Wallace Sneed; and son-in-law, Mark Seefeld. He is survived by his wife, Patricia "Ann" Deese Sneed; daughter, Angie Seefeld; grandchildren, Brad (Ashley) Sneed, Jessica (Phillip) Johnston, Carrie (Sander) Wood, Lyndsay (Grant) Carter, and Cole (Emily) Wilson; great grandchildren Kenan, Kensley, and Kanon Sneed, Ellie, Emma, and Beckett Wood, Ann Marie and McCall Carter; sister, Marvell (Lynn) Burford; numerous nieces and nephews, and many friends.

Pat's family would like to express their sincere appreciation for the wonderful neighbors, friends, relatives, and caregivers who have all taken great care of Pat over the last few years.

Visitation will be Tuesday March, 29, 2022, from 10:00am-11:00am at Roller-McNutt Funeral Home in Greenbrier. A graveside service will be held at Central Cemetery in Quitman at 1:00pm.

We are so sorry to hear of Pat’s passing. He was a great horse trader, trading
us for the ugliest App I ever saw, and turned out to be one of the best horses we ever had! We thought a lot of Pat.
You are in our thoughts and prayers.

Mr. Sneed was a very well respected and hard working man in our small town who I have known all my life. He graduated with my mother and I graduated with Greg, being side by side alphabetically from 1st grade on... They are laughing and rejoicing together in Heaven never to be separated again in their eternal lives. May God Bless and comfort Mrs. Ann, their wonderful family, all the good friends and neighbors he had. CHERISH THE MEMORIES!
