April 7, 2021

Mr. Joseph V. LeBlanc, 94, of Mountain Home, Arkansas passed away Wednesday, April 07, 2021 at his home. He was born on September 14, 1926 to Edward, Sr. and Hildagonde LeBlanc. He was a Lieutenant Commander Aviator in the Navy for 21 years and he owned his own business, Shurite Meters. He was a member of St. Peter the Fisherman's Catholic Church, the Knights of Columbus, and American Legion. He was the King of T.O.P.S in 2015, a facilitator for the Pietz Cancer House, Chairman for the Republican Party of Baxter County, and several other services.

Joe was a very friendly man who always had a kind word for everyone. He seemed to know everyone in town and even if he didn't, he never met a stranger. He enjoyed building model airplanes, was an avid golfer, a big fan of the Uconn Huskies basketball team, and a dulcimer player. He enjoyed life and can say he achieved all his dreams.

Joe is survived by his wife Colette LeBlanc; 3 sons: Michael, Steve, and Rob LeBlanc; daughter: Susan (Dave) Epperson; 2 step-sons: Charles and Stephan Schuetz; 2 step-daughters: Nancy and Heidi Schuetz; 8 grandchildren: Michael Deines, Samaria (Trevor) Winkler, Amanda and Angelica LeBlanc, Charlie, Connor, and Tommy Schuetz, and Caitlin Salerno; 2 great-grandchildren: Amaya and Zayne Winkler, and many nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his wife Janet LeBlanc, parents, daughter: Valerie LeBlanc, and 8 siblings.

A visitation will be held between 5-7:00pm on Friday, April 9, 2021 at the Roller Chapel. Due to COVID mask are required to be worn. A Funeral Mass will be held at 10:00am on Saturday, April 10, 2021 at St. Peter the Fisherman's Catholic Church. Interment will follow at Baxter Memorial Gardens. The family would also like to give a special thank you to Hospice and all the workers whose kindness, affection, and attentive care helped make each day count. In lieu of flowers, please make donations to Hospice of the Ozarks.

Joe was always someone you enjoyed encountering and having a conversation with.
Someone you could always have a respectful conversation on politics despite sometimes
disagreements. I will miss those encounters.

Dear Collette,
Heard the sad news of Uncle Val's passing. Just wanted you to know we are sorry for your loss. I reckon it will be a helluva reunion up there with all the siblings.....he is the last of that generation of LeBlanc's. Our sympathies to you and the family.

Joe was the most principled and respected of men. We were honored to have called him our friend. We will miss him greatly and he will be missed by all who had the pleasure of knowing him.
Eternal rest grant unto them, O Lord, and let perpetual light shine upon them. May the souls of the faithful departed, through the mercy of God, rest in peace.
