Maurdiece Massey Passmore, age 85, of Leslie, Arkansas passed from this life Sunday, February 21, 2021 at Baptist Hospital in Conway, Arkansas. She was born in Campbell, Arkansas on July 18, 1935 to Dewey and Ada (Morrison) Massey. Maurdiece married her high school sweetheart, Dykes Daniel Passmore on January 17, 1955 and they were blessed with two children.
Maurdiece loved children and spent many years at Leslie Headstart where she got to love every child like it was her own. After she retired, she was blessed to do the best job of all and be "Nan" to her grandchildren. Her best days were spent playing cards with her family, watching her "stories", or simply catching up with old friends. Maurdiece gave her life to the Lord at a young age and was a member of the Leslie First Baptist Church.
Maurdiece was preceded in death by her parents, Dewey and Ada Massey; one grandson, Benjamin Roy Passmore; and her siblings, Dewey Massey, Willie Lee Massey, Ernestine Carmody, Irene LeMarr, and Marcella Clark.
Survivors include her husband of 66 years, Daniel Passmore of Leslie; daughter, Danna (Donnie) Collins of Dennard; son, Wendel (Valorie) Passmore of Marshall; six grandchildren, Jeanie (Heath) Horton, Eric (April) Collins, Sarah (Clint) Vernon, Justin (Erika) Passmore, Austin (Melissa) Passmore, and Victoria (Jonathon) Prout; ten great-grandchildren, Clay Bailey Horton, Kelley Daniel Collins, Augustus Brent Horton, Kennalea Elizabeth Collins, Kyle Ashton Vernon, Kinsey Elizabeth Vernon, Bristol Nicole Passmore, Kacelyn Grace Vernon, Daniel Eugene Passmore, and Luke Massey Prout (due in June); and many other extended family who will mourn her passing.
Graveside services for Maurdiece will be 2:00 PM Tuesday, February 23rd, 2021 at Elberta Cemetery near Leslie, Arkansas with Bro. Chris Reade and Bro. Donnie Collins officiating.
Pallbearers will be Eric Collins, Justin Passmore, Austin Passmore, Heath Horton, Clint Vernon, and Jonathon Prout. Honorary pallbearers will be Clay Horton, Kelley Collins, Gus Horton, Kyle Vernon, and Daniel E. Passmore.

We will miss our wonderful neighbor. Maurdiece always welcomed us with "Come on in here and have a seat". She always had a smile, no matter how she felt.
