Larry Blythe Halsey, 76, of Greenbrier, went to be with his Lord on January 27, 2021. He was born in Conway, AR on June 25, 1944 to the late Eddie Merion and Stella Mae (Blythe) Halsey. Larry was longtime member of Centerville United Methodist Church. He was also a Free Mason at Holland Masonic Lodge #158 and the VFW of Quitman. Larry served in the US Army during Vietnam. He owned and retired after 30 years at Bonds Transmissions and was living his dream as a Cattleman.
Larry is survived by his loving wife of 56 years, Mary Ann Halsey, daughters, Shelia (Marshall) Hines and Keri (Aaron) Matthews, grandchildren, Jacob (Molly) Hines, Katie Hines, Taylor Matthews, Tristan Matthews, and Torin Matthews, sister, Eddie Carolyn (David) Whitehead, several cousins, nieces, nephews, family, and friends.
In Lieu of flowers donations can be made to St. Jude's Children's Hospital in Memphis.
Visitation will be Sunday, January 31, 2021 from 4:00-8:00PM at Roller McNutt Funeral Home in Greenbrier. Funeral Service will begin at 1:00PM Monday, February 1, 2021 at Centerville Methodist Church in Greenbrier. Burial will follow at McNew Cemetery in Greenbrier, AR.

Larry will be missed by us greatly. Every time we saw Larry he always put a smile on our face. Will forever miss sitting on the back porch with Larry and listening to his stories. Fly high and sing loud Larry. We will be listening.

Oh how saddened I am for you Mary Ann and for your entire family. I loved Larry and you two were in love since I guess you were in 9th grade—what fond and sweet memories I have of our childhood. The Halsey family is wrapped up in all my childhood memories! I will come one day in a couple months to visit you—David is not well and I don’t want to risk this old Covid being carried back home to him from the funeral but know for certain you and family are in my daily prayers and even better that our Lord is there for your comfort and showering His light and love upon you
