Sorry to hear of Jim's passing. I have fond memories of his time at Oak Grove Elementary and his pee wee basketball teams. I could always count on some good young players when they moved over to the Jr.-Sr. High School thanks to Jim's coaching. Condolences and prayers to the family.

I'm so sorry for your loss. I didn't have a way to get to the service. I want you to know how much I loved Jim. He was a good man. He will be missed.

The Gardner neighborhood was blessed to have the Herring family. Please accept my heartfelt sympathy. You will be in my thoughts and prayers.

Paulette, I was so sorry to read of the passing of your Jim. He was a very nice man and his legacy is still reverberating with all the lives he touched. I am sorry I was not able to be at his service or visitation as I am ill but wanted you to know that you and Randy are in my thoughts and prayers. Will try to see you in the near future when I am in Conway. God's blessings on your and your family.

Paulette - Jim was such a comfort to my brother Fred in his last days in the hospital. I've always remembered how open Fred was with Jim and how it helped Fred to talk with Jim and work through his feelings about dying. I am so sorry for your loss. You are in my thoughts and prayers.

Paulette and Randy,
Jim and I are very sorry for your loss. Our love and prayers are with you during this difficult time. Jim was the first person to help me get hired at PCSSD. after basically interviewing me at a softball game. I always loved being around the two of you as a couple. Jim will be missed and he leaves a legacy of lives he touched .

So sorry to hear about Mr. Herring's passing. Mr.Herring was my 6th grade teacher in the 1964-1965 school year at Ramble Elementary School in Hot Springs. I have such good memories of him as my teacher. It was a very fun year for us because we were the oldest kids at the school. I believe it may have been one of his first jobs-he was probably 25 years old. He loved his students.
I loved watching the memorial video of his life. I haven't seen him since 6th grade, but it appears that he was a wonderful man who loved the Lord, his family, and his church.
God Bless the family.

Randy, I am so sorry for the loss of your father. My condolences to you, your mother, & the rest of your family. Many thoughts & prayers to you in your time of grief.

Working with Jim in Pulaski County Special School District was a pleasure. He was professional and a true gentleman.

Mr Jim Herring was the best principal I had in the 40 years I spent teaching in Pulaski County Special District .
He loved his teachers and his goal was to make sure our needs and those of our students were met . He
really spoiled his teachers , kept morale up with thank you notes and special lunches , and gifts . I remember
when the teachers bought red T-Shirts and wore them to surprise him with Herring Elementary on them . He loved the Watson Staff and teachers and we all loved him back . When he left us to go work at the District Office in
Staff Development, we missed him terribly . He was awesome at that job as well.... we just missed his sweet smile
and positive attitude . He was a good man . Thinking of Paulette and family , praying for God to comfort you at this time .

Jim Herring was the best principal I worked under in my 33 years in education. I worked with him at Chicot Elementary when we opened the school in PCSSD. He was professional, kind, and caring. He touched many lives in a very positive manner. My sympathy to Paulette and Randy. Sincerely, Jo Wilson

Over these many years, since I met you, I have many wonderful memories with this family...our Thanksgivings at Norma's, Moon games, and just fun "stuff".
Jim's love and concern for my family (Larry), his ever present smile-always in my heart.
I care...
Love,
Ms. Esther

Jim was always a friend I could count on for sound practical advice. He was a great leader in elementary administration and providing staff development for Pulaski County Special School District. His love for Jesus and life application were always evident in his daily walk. My sincere sympathy to Paulette and Randy during this time of sorrow.

Going to miss you uncle Jim. Praying for you aunt Paulette.
