Ms. Atalee was a very good friend of my father, Remmel Rowden, before either of them were married. He was a Cumberland Presbyterian preacher and held a meeting at Sidney, I don't know the year, and he and my mother ate a meal in her home. About 15 years ago, I did a drive to raise money for Huntington's Disease Research and Ms. Atalee wrote me a letter telling me about her friendship with my dad, and contributed $300 to the research. I always wanted to meet her, but never did. I have heard only good things about her. What a wonderful example she was for all who knew her! A great lady, no doubt! Sincere sympathy to all who loved her. Paulette Dockins

Many wonderful things come to mind when remembering Ms. Atalee, but as a mother one memory stands strong. Upon a visit to show off my new baby girl to Ms. Atalee, she sweetly told me that each day she read the birth announcements in the paper and prayed for each baby that God would protect them, give them a happy home, and that they would turn to Him. What a lady!

We my sister Shirley and I have known this sweet lady all of our lives the only person sweeter was our mother 0la.She will be missed not only by her family but the whole town . Such beautiful memories never go away Our prayers are with all of you.

I only knew Mrs. Atalee for a short time, when I was younger while attending the Methodist Church in Sydney, but this was more than enough time for me to see how great of a person she was. She was kind, loving, and caring among other things.

Atalee was without a doubt the most beautiful person I have ever met. You could be having a very bad day, and spend just a few moments with her, and the day just somehow got a lot brighter. Her faith was remarkable and now she is enjoying the rewards of that faith. We will miss her very much.

Atalee was an inspiration to many people, and she will be greatly missed. She will really be having a wonderful birthday party now.

I do not think there was any lady sweeter in Sidney Arkansas then Ms. Atalee. I spent many summers in Sidney with my maternal grandparents Frank and Ruby Griffin. Ms. Atalee always had a smile on her face. She was just a loving person. She is in heaven with not only family members but with my family. There will be a wonderful time up there. May God be with the family during this difficult time.
