Ara Madge (Horton) Ratchford, age 89, of Marshall, died Wednesday, November 30, 2005, at the Ozark Medical Center, Clinton, Arkansas. She was a lifelong resident of the Baker community in
Madge was preceded in death by husband, Carl Ratchford, parents, Leander and Rena Horton, sister, Ora Stephenson, brothers Crayon, Lloyd, Orville and Coy Horton, great grandsons, Bazze Sewell and Riley Ford. She is survived by six children, Carlene (Bill) Gilliland, David Ratchford, Joel (Margie) Ratchford, Nancy (David) Moore, Bob (Kaye) Ratchford and Kenny (Beth) Ratchford, fourteen grandchildren and twenty great-grandchildren.

To Tammy: So sorry about the death of your grandmother. I really thought a lot of her. She was a sweet person and was always so kind everytime I spoke with her. She is the one who made my prom dress for the junior-senior prom when I was in high school, and I also had her make other nice clothes for me at special occasions.
