Elizabeth M. ''Betty'' Geels, 75, of New Blaine, Arkansas died November 24, 2006. She was born November 19, 1931 in Ratcliff, AR. She was a seamstress and a member of Sts. Peter and Paul Catholic Church (Morrison Bluff). She was preceded in death by her parents, John and Katie (Buergler) Bauer and husband, Raymond J. Geels. She is survived by five daughters, Reba Pridgin, Shirley Kiefer, Jackie Lensing, Sylvia Schluterman and Paula McConnell; three sons, Gerald ''Hop'' Geels, Harold Geels and John Geels; two sisters, Catherine Walbe and Marie Leding; two brothers, Boniface Bauer and John Bauer. 25 Grandchildren and 18 Great Grandchildren. Rosary was at 7:00 p.m., Sunday, Nov. 26, Funeral Mass and Burial was at 10:00 a.m., Monday, Nov. 27, 2006 at Sts. Peter and Paul Catholic Church and Cemetery in Morrison Bluff. Pallbearers were John VonderHeide, Jr., Jacob Schluterman, Branson Berry, Richard Walker, Jr., David Pridgin, Jr., Jason Cowell and Bruce Kiefer, Grand children and Great Grandchildren. Honorary Pallbearers were Dr. Jack Patterson, PeeWee Stroud, Evelyn Brown and Alice Bauer.

I was saddened to hear of the loss of Betty. It had been many years since I had seen her but my family kept me up to date on her health problems. My thoughts and prayers are with the family during this time and throughout the holidays. Harold, although the years have passed and we have all moved on with our lives and in many instances lost touch, the memories of friendship remain. I am here if you need a friend.
