Raymond Freeman Forbus, 89, died on Monday, September 14th, 2020 at his home in West Memphis, AR. He was born on September 27th, 1930 in Cherry Valley, AR.
He was preceded in death by his daughter, Sherry Elizabeth Forbus Prager, and ten siblings.
He is survived by his loving wife, Henrietta Forbus, of 65 years; one sister, Nell Hill; one daughter, Katie Forbus Jackson (Jerry); one son, Rick Forbus (Jackie); three granddaughters, Amber Mouser (Larry), Taylor Jackson, and Sarah Prager; three grandsons, Samuel Prager, Kyle and Eric Jackson; one great-granddaughter, Anna Dries; three great-grandsons, Easton, Eli, and Jace Jackson; and a host of nieces, nephews, other loved ones.
Aside from his family, Raymond's greatest devotion was to the military. He served honorably in both the U.S. Marine Corps (3 years) and our U.S. Army (21 years). As a veteran of the Vietnam and Korean Wars, Raymond was awarded several honors including Silver and Bronze Service Stars. Raymond retired as Command Sergeant Major in 1976.
A public visitation will be held on Thursday, September 17. 2020, from 12:00 PM to 4:00 PM, with a funeral service immediately following. Interment will be private.
Roller-Citizens Funeral Home will be following guidelines issued by the Arkansas Department of Health and the CDC regarding COVID-19. Social distancing of at least six feet must be practiced and all funeral attendees must provide and wear their own masks.

I loved Uncle Raymond very much he was such a sweet man....he will be truly missed...I pray all is well an will be for entire family...he is in the best of care now...I love you all...
I have so many good memories of Uncle Raymond and family. I know he always tried to protect us. My prayers are with you, Aunt Henry, Katie, Rick & your families. This death has kicked me in the gut, I will always remember him. Love you all!
