April 25, 1945 - July 29, 2020

Rebecca Lee Altom, 75, of Russellville passed away on Wednesday, July 29, 2020. That evening she entered Heaven to spend eternity with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.

She was born April 25, 1945 in Batesville, Arkansas the daughter of Virginia Mae Duty and William Johnson.

Rebecca loved music, reading, and was an author of poetry. She could be found on almost any given day reading her Bible or devotional books. She was a devout Christian woman and loved her children.

Survivors include her two sons, Chris Altom (Leslie) of Newport, Arkansas and Mark Altom of Little Rock, Arkansas; three daughters, Regina Roth (Scott) of London, Arkansas, Tracy Rogers (J.D.) of Beebe, Arkansas and Michele Shoffner of Cabot, Arkansas; eleven grandchildren, Amber Earl, Ashley Holloway, Haley Jacobs, Cody Shoffner, Andrew Shoffner, Alex Altom, Tyler Altom, Zach Altom, Joshua Blackburn, Jordan Layrock and Jarrod Rogers; and eight great-grandchildren, Ashtin Holloway, Landri Holloway, Kaitlee Earl, Charlotte Earl, Silas James Jacobs, Brentley Altom, Conner Altom and Jude Altom.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Harlus D. Altom; and infant son, Robert Lee Altom.

Pallbearers are Andrew Shoffner, Cody Shoffner, Jarrod Rogers, Alex Altom, Tyler Altom and Zach Altom. Honorary pallbearer will be Josh Blackburn.

Graveside services will begin at 10:00 am Tuesday, August 4, 2020 at Alderbrook Cemetery under the direction of Roller-Crouch Funeral Home of Batesville with Carley Davis officiating.

We are complying with the Arkansas Department of Health guidelines and social distancing will be observed. All attendees must provide and wear their own masks.

My thoughts and prayers are with each of you. I realize life will never be the same. My heart hurts for you and I pray for your comfort. At the same time, I rejoice for Mrs. Altom, enjoying her heavenly home. Most of all, that she is walking with her Savior.
