Frances Jo Heard, age 91, passed away Friday, July 10, 2020, at AMMC in Paragould, Arkansas. She was born September 27, 1928, in Reid, Mississippi to Barney and Gertrude Hamilton. She lived in Tyronza, Arkansas, on the St. Francis River and attended school in Marked Tree, Arkansas.
She was a wife of 44 years and a Mother of 3 daughters living in West Helena, Arkansas. She taught sewing lessons for Singer Sewing Machine Company upon finishing her training, enjoyed being a homemaker and later worked for the Helena Hospital in admissions. She enjoyed gardening, cooking, sewing, and spending time with her family brought her much joy.
She is survived by three daughters and their husbands: Sheila and Bill McCartney of Paragould, Patti and James Futrell of Rogers, Donna and John Stiedle of West Helena, five grandchildren and their spouses, and eight great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Alvin Heard, her parents: Barney and Gertrude Hamilton and 10 siblings.
Graveside service is Tuesday, July 14, at 11:00, at Sunset Memorial Park, conducted by Roller-Citizens Funeral Home of West Helena, Arkansas, with Pastor Ron Pickney officiating. Social distancing is recommended.

I was sorry to see Miss Jo had passed away. What a sweet person and spirit and a wonderful friend to my mother Helen Bloesch. They always had great fun getting together and visiting. I know they are still catching up today. I know you miss her but what great memories I know you all made.

Jo and I were in Sunday school together at New Haven Baptist I loved her sweet smile I could see the Spirit of the Lord all over her she brightened my life and I have missed her since she has been sick. I celebrate her now because there is no doubt in my mind that she is with our Lord and Saviour and lighting up that Heavenly home with her smile. Jo knew I love that I love her.
