Patricia Ann Long

of Harrison, AR

January 5, 1950 - June 28, 2020

Patricia Ann Long, age 70, of Harrison, Arkansas, passed away on Sunday, June 28, 2020. She was born to parents Harry Mack Adams and Dorothy Jean Fuqua, on January 5, 1950, in Newport, Arkansas. She was preceded in death by her sister, Janet Adams; her father, Harry Mack Adams; her mother, Dorothy Jean Adams; and her brother, Harry Mack Adams, Jr.

She graduated from Newport High School in 1968. She went on to study and become a Switchman/Brakeman for the BNSF railroad and in most recent years was in long term care where she specialized in the care of Alzheimer's patients.

Patricia enjoyed spending time with her family, caring for her flowers, her backyard bird sanctuary, and to make people laugh. Her personality and smile were larger than life and her laugh was infectious. She was never one to mince words; you always knew both where she stood and what she thought. She would also be the first person to offer the shirt off her back to help her neighbor. She was strong and fought to live every day to the fullest with the grace of God.

Patricia met Dennis Long in 1980. They were married on January 5, 1982, in Hot Springs, Arkansas. Together they raised two girls and a son from a previous marriage, Shane, Priscilla, Jayme.

Patricia is survived by her husband, Dennis Long; her son, Shane Ray, his wife Tanya, and their daughter Avery; her daughter, Priscilla Collier, her husband Brady and their son Logan; her daughter, Jayme Bright, her husband Alan, and their son Bane; her brothers, sisters, other family, and friends.

The family has entrusted Roller-Christeson Funeral Home with the arrangements.

A Memorial service was Monday, July 6, 2020, at 2:00 pm, at Roller-Christeson Harrison, Arkansas. Steve Wray officiated the ceremony.

A reception followed the service at Northside Church of Christ, Harrison, Arkansas at the activity building.

Roller-Christeson Funeral Home is complying with the Arkansas Department of Health guidelines for COVID-19 and limiting indoor funeral and visitation attendance to 100 people at one time. All attendees must provide and wear their own masks before entering.

To all the Adams' siblings who grew up with me and my brothers, I am deeply saddened at Patsy's death. But I know she was a chd of God because of the many messages we exchanged on FB over the years. Our most recent personal message was my attempt to name all the siblings! She said I got it right! Jimmy was in my class and Janet a year ahead. We sometimes let Mac and Patsy join us(and sometimes the little ones, too) We all loved the climb the tree in their side yard! You could often find Janet. Patsy and I up there sharing girl talk...which eventually turned into "boy" talk. I know your family will miss her dearly as well as her husband and her children. My heart breaks for all of you! Love. Maggie
