of Pangburn, AR
April 22, 1943 - June 26, 2020
Marsha Lynn Whitehead, 77, of Pangburn passed away June 26, 2020. She was born in Searcy on April 22, 1943 to the late ''Dink'' and Vivian Allen Sharp.
Marsha was a longtime member of the Pangburn United Methodist Church and was very active in her community in many areas. She also retired from the Pangburn Public School System with 20 plus years of faithful service.
She is survived by her two sons, Todd (Paula) Whitehead and Denny (Karen) Whitehead all of Pangburn; three grandchildren, Will (Samantha) Whitehead of Minneapolis, MN, Ben Whitehead of Letona and Bailey (Zach) Stansberry of Bentonville; and two great-grandchildren, Holden Whitehead and Ellie Stansberry along with other loving family members and a host of friends.
Marsha was a life-long resident of Pangburn and loved the place that she called home. She had many names given to her such as friend, mom, Granny Grunt and many more. Her family and friends were very important to her and when she called you friend, you were her friend forever. She loved to ''Bog-Around'' with anyone she could get to go with her. She was a collector of many things from her friends to dirt and sand and she remembered where each one came from. Her kids said ''she loved life.''
In her life travels she saw many things that were special to her. Friends knew when she was going ''Bogging Around'' they would be a while and they would shop, site see or whatever she wanted to do, but they would and did have a great time. She was a good athlete and played basketball at Pangburn and later played at ASU-Beebe while she was in college.
Marsha had a well-rounded life because her interests took her many places. She loved music of all types and she loved to dance. She had a ticket to go see Elvis Presley in concert the night after he died, and she has kept all this time along with some gravel she picked up one time from the driveway of Graceland. Her kids called her the ''Life of the Party'' and a ''Social Butterfly'' because she enjoyed being with people and wanted to have fun in everything that she set out to do and wanted everyone who did it with her to have a good time.
In Lieu of flowers the family has asked Memorials be made to a charity of your choice that assisted in the care and support of Marsha during this time of her illness. Some were Hospice, Alzheimer Association, Cancer Society and The Pangburn Fire Department
Services will be 2:00PM Tuesday, June 30, 2020 at Henderson Cemetery in Pangburn with Interment to follow. Visitation will be 5:30 7:30PM Monday, June 29, 2020 at Roller-Daniel Funeral Home Chapel, Searcy.
My thoughts and prayers are with you and your family.

Tracy
Just wanted to say how sorry I am for your loss. Marsha was a Wonderful Woman and did so much for Pangburn! I remember how hard she worked putting the 4th of July together for everyone. May God comfort you all during this time.
What a smile she had. I remember how hard she worked to make the July 4th celebration a success. She always would say, "It's too hot!" or "I'm too old for this." But she would do it again the next year.
I am glad to say that I was her pastor for 7 years.
Todd, Paula and family - so very sorry for your loss!! Mrs. Marsha was a very special lady and she will surely be missed!! Praying for all of you!
my thoughts & prayers are with your whole family during this most difficult time.
As many can say...Marsha and I had some really funny times. She was always ready to enjoy everything. I loved having her in my life ♥ A very special lady!!
Denny so sorry for your loss.
