October 3, 1929 - June 20, 2020
On June 20, 2020, Jeannie Langley Williams fell asleep and awoke in the arms of Jesus and her beloved husband, Harold J. Williams, Jr who was anxiously awaiting her.
Jeannie was born to Kyle and Maude Langley on October 3, 1929 in New Albany, Mississippi. At eighteen years of age she left family and friends to pursue a better life in Memphis Tennessee. There she met Harold, who was the love of her life. Harold and Jeannie were married February 18, 1949 and lived a full and loving life together until Harold went to be with Jesus in 2006.
Jeannie was a true southern lady, exhibiting charm and kindness to all she met. She began a career in real estate in 1968 and vigorously continued that career path until her death. She closed her last "deal" on June 11, 2020. Jeannie was an inspiration and pillar to so many, breaking many barriers in the real estate business world. She was a Certified Residential Specialist and Graduate of Realtor Institute.
She poured her energy and life into her work, community and anything she pursued. Jeannie held leadership roles in numerous professional and community organizations. Those include: North Pulaski Board of Realtors (founding member and past president), Arkansas Realtor Association, Women's Council of Realtors (past national president), National Association of Home Builders Auxiliary and Greater Little Rock Home Builders Auxiliary. Jeannie served as a trustee for the Realtor's Political Action Committee as well as founding member. She was recognized and received awards throughout the years too numerous to list.
Community was paramount to Jeannie. She believed in giving back to the community. She was a member of Park Hill Baptist Church since 1963, teaching Sunday school for several years alongside Harold. Jeannie remained active in the church holding numerous leadership roles. Other groups she belonged to were the Salvation Army Women's Auxiliary (past president), , North Little Rock Women's Club (past president) and a volunteer at Baptist Memorial Hospital for many years.
Jeannie leaves her three daughters, Pamela Ward (Gary Jack) who resides in Austin, TX, Patricia Cameron and Penne Williams (Brian Nichol) of North Little Rock AR. She has six grandchildren, Heather Hundley Beitzel (Derek), Brett Blakely (Doris), Taylor Blakely, Patrick Cameron (Nabil), Dylan Williams, Rachel Walters (Spencer) and five great grandchildren Alexandra and Annamarie Beitzel and Lesley, Jimmy and Isabella Blakely.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday, June 27, 2020 at 12:00PM at Park Hill Baptist Church, 201 E. C Ave, North Little Rock AR 72116. A visitation will be held prior to the service from 10:00 am-12:00 pm at Park Hill Baptist Church.
In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Salvation Army and St. Jude's Children's Hospital.
So sorry this is late . . . Because of 2020 being a year of very little sharing, I was not aware of Jeannie's passing until today. I learned from a fellow Realtor today when I asked about how Jeannie was doing, that she is no longer with us. I am so, so sorry. Jeannie was a true friend and a blessed co-worker who helped and encouraged me from Day One of my rookie real estate career, starting in 1999. I sit here with tears . . . My heart hurts. . . What a precious, kind, and gorgeous lady we have lost. Sending condolences to your entire family - I know you all miss her . . . Jeannie was one very special angel.
Jeannie was the most beautbBiful woman, both in her soul and her good looks. We called her the Elizabeth Taylor of the National Assn. of Home Builders. Jeannie and Harold were the two best friends anyone could wish for. They were the perfect couple, admired and loved by everyone who had the good fortune to know them. Jeannie was the reason I became President of NAHBWA. When she said "Rose you are going to run", I ran. No one said no to Jeannie. She was one of my most ardent supporters during my tenure. I will always be grateful to her.
We are so very sorry they are both gone from this earth. we will miss them terribly, but now Harold and his "Queen" are together forever, just as it should be.

Jeannie was so loved by our REALTOR family. She will be missed so much. My heart is with you guys as you lay her to rest today. Praying for you all.
My mentor at Lakehill Realty! Loved her like a sister! No one like her! Condolences to her daughters! She was so proud of you girls!
Thank you Jeannie for the years of leadership and friendship and fun! We will meet again.
We are so unbelievably sorry for your loss of your sweet momma. She was a precious jewel and loved by SO many!! She will never be forgotten. Love you girls!
My Dear Friend Jeannie, we were roomies in 1985 and continued our friendship for over 35 years. You were always in my corner and I yours. Praying for your “three Ps†and your grand babies.
I remember the fun we had at National Realtors Conventions, esp. in Las Vegas. I miss you so much and take comfort in knowing you are with Harold in Jesus’ arms. Looking forward to seeing you again some day.
I loved this woman for 40 years - met her at my first ARA meeting and we instantly became friends! She was a true lady, even when she was clearly stating her opinion. One of the best lessons I learned from Jeannie was: you can disagree on an issue and walk out of the meeting and continued to be best friends. She never met a stranger - her smile, always with lipstick, made everyone want to know her. I'm sad - I just never thought about Jeannie not being with us. Pennie (and the rest of the family) thank you for sharing this amazing lady with so many others.
Such a sweet and admirable woman! I love you lady! Thank you for always having my back and your words of encouragement to me will be missed. You touched my life in a special way!
Ms. Jeannie was much loved, appreciated and will be greatly missed.
I enjoyed working with her over the years.
I know her family and friends have many wonderful memories that I hope will bring joy and peace to their hearts.
Penne, Patty and Pam, We are so sad about Jeannie's passing. What an amazing woman she was, as well as your dad. I still remember several "life lessons-isms" she told me but the two that really stand out are: "When you want to know or accomplish something, go straight to the person at the top. Never start at the bottom". And the other was "You never have to apologize for bettering yourself". And I've never forgotten that. We will pray for you for peace as your memories flow freely, I know you have so many. With much love and prayers,
James and Eva Bakalekos
Such a special lady-always kind words no matter who or where she was. Loved her and Harold dearly and feel so blessed that our paths met. Her star in heaven is shining brightly. She is missed!
Always looked forward to seeing Ms. Jeannie at our Realtor meetings. Always a smile, always friendly and always willing to assist and contribute. An example to us all of what a true lady and a true leader is supposed to be.
Penne, I am so very sorry for your loss and for the rest of your families loss. I know you will miss her greatly. If there is anything you need, please let me know.
I am out of town this weekend and will not be able to attend visitation or the funeral, however you will all be in my thoughts and prayers. Much Love - Paulette

Loved this precious lady so much. She had such a kind loving way about her. Heaven shines so bright as she joins her sweet husband. Prayers to all the family during this time.
Ohhhh Ms. Jeannie. A one of a kind true and genuine lady. Everything about her was amazing. Her passion for her Realtor Family has been felt for many years. I am blessed to have known her for the time that I did and grateful for her love and support as I found my way through leadership of the Arkansas Realtors. Ms. Jeannie will be so missed not just here but around the Country.
Penne..... sweetheart I’m so sorry. You know I’m here if you need anything. Love you and praying for you and your family in this time.
Penne Mckinnie, I never met your mom but she sounded first class. What an amazing legacy. Peace & love be with you and yours through this horribly difficult time.
Jeannie was an example of how to live life. She was never afraid to give her opinion. Her opinions mattered. I will always remember her smiling face when we saw each other at our regular meetings and she was always the first person I looked for to say hello. She brought me joy. She will be missed. Prayers to all of her family and those in her Realtor family who knew her so well.
We are deeply saddened at the loss of your sweet Mother. She will be greatly missed. Another angel has joined heavens choir. Our prayers and love are with your family.
