Doyle Ray Weaver, age 94 of Witts Springs, Arkansas passed from this life on Sunday, June 7th, 2020 at his home with family by his side. He was born in Snowball, Arkansas on November 17th, 1925 to James Sparling Weaver and Dessie Bell Longcrier Weaver.

Doyle was a World War II Veteran of the United States Navy and served during the Pacific Theater. He was an active member of the First Baptist Church in Marshall for many years where he sang bass in the choir. He was currently a member of and attended the Witts Springs Community Bible Church where he also sang in the choir. Doyle was also a longtime member of the local VFW and The Cattleman's Association. He worked as a farmer and rancher for most of his life. He also worked for 27 years as a bus mechanic and bus driver for the Witts Springs School District until his retirement. Doyle was an avid story teller and enjoyed telling stories of his childhood on Owens Mountain and the surrounding areas. He was a big fan of sports; baseball, basketball and football and was very knowledgeable about the players. Doyle loved music, mainly gospel, bluegrass and country. He knew about 200 songs from the WWII era. When feeding his cows, Doyle always had his truck door open with his radio on. He and Sandra loved to travel to the Navy Reunion held in various states every year. Doyle loved to visit and reminisce with his fellow Navy comrades. In his later years he liked to spend his time reading the Marshall Mountain Wave every time it was published. His presence and wisdom will be greatly missed by those who knew and loved him.

Sandra, Linda and I will be praying God will comfort you through this time. Uncle Doyle was a special individual in many ways. The country he proudly served; the family he loved and cherished; the God of heaven he worshipped, just to mention a few. He had a great testimony of trusting Jesus Christ as his personal savior. I look forward to seeing him in heaven one day. I have many memories of growing up around him. I probably talked more with him than I did with my dad. He was one of those individuals that was easy to talk with. You never had to wonder what he thought about something or what his opinion was. I liked that about him. On thing he was good at was picking a wife. I have many great memories of Pauline. She was a great lady. Then when God took her home, he did an excellent job of picking you. I did not get to spend a lot of time around you but each time I did it was always a pleasant experience. Thank you for being such a caring and loving wife to him. Keep looking to God for comfort and direction and let us know if we can do anything to help you.
