Betty Jo Asbury-Colvin, 86, of Clarksville, went to be with the Lord on June 3, 2020. She was born March 6, 1934, in the Holman Community, to the late Darrell and Lottie (Wilkins) Sparks. She opened the first video store in Clarksville, was an oil painter, an accomplished seamstress, a published author, an avid traveler and a member of the Eastern Star. She was the family genealogist, she had a love for life and an unforgettable laugh. She brought joy to everyone in her life. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husbands; Kenneth Asbury and Ward Colvin; one brother, Charles Sparks; two sisters, Amie Lee Colvin and Bernice Standridge; and a daughter, Nedra Colvin-Kohlberg.

Mrs. Asbury-Colvin is survived by three children; Cheryl Darlene Christian of Clarksville, Mike Asbury of Clarksville and Gary Colvin of Nevada; a brother, Nelson Sparks; a sister, Mary Edwards; twelve grandchildren, Kim Green, Chris Asbury, Stacey Tumbleson, Amanda Bean, Carrie Cowell, Charlie House, Kristine Sparks, Scott Asbury, David Asbury, Marquita Cortez, Renee Penberthy-Gullotto and Jeff Penberthy; twenty great grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews and friends.

The family will hold a memorial service at Holman Cemetery, at a later date.
