Kathryn "Kaye" Halter

of Conway, AR

August 22, 1931 - May 21, 2020

Kathryn E., ''Kaye,'' Halter, 88, of Conway joined the Lord on Ascension Day, May 21, 2020. Born August 22, 1931, in Beatrice, Nebraska, she was preceded in death by parents, Millard D. and Lolita E. (Simmons) McCarville, sister, Helen Dayer, and brother, Mike McCarville.

Kaye, an RN for several decades, was a faithful member of St. Joseph Catholic Church, in Conway. She valued honesty, and she always put others above herself. Her surviving husband of 68 years, Richard C. Halter, praises her as tops, ''head and horns above the rest.''

Mrs. Halter is further survived by: her children, Deborah Halter, of Little Rock; Patricia (James) Richter, of Georgia; Richard (Jessica) Halter, Jr., of Cabot; Robert (Zuly) Halter, of Colorado; Leslie (Robert) Magri, of Maumelle; and Libby (Bryan) Stell, of Mayflower; 19 grandchildren; 17-and-counting great grandchildren; her sister, Donna Dickerson, and sister-in-law, Virginia Walter, both of Conway, and sister-in-law Ann McCarville, of Oklahoma City; and many nieces and nephews.

Her family will gather to celebrate her life on May 26, and her ashes will be laid to rest at St. Joseph the same day.

We love and appreciate your prayers. Due to the viral restrictions, we are asking anyone interested in attending to email Libby.stell@yahoo.com

When our Son Robert married Leslie, Kaye welcomed us with open arms. She had the amazing ability to make complete strangers feel at ease. We will always remember her warmth, quick wit and beautiful smile.
Her legacy is the incredible family she and Dick gave to the world.
We feel very fortunate to be part of it.
While we all mourn her passing, we know she is now in God's loving care.
Rest in Peace Kaye, you have earned a very special place in Heaven.

A gracious and sweet lady who loved her family and who was so successful in her profession that children and grandchildren have chosen to follow her example.
We very much enjoyed the times we were able to fellowship together.
We wish there had been more of them.
Our condolences to the family.
