Maurice "Mark" Glen Tumbleson was born April 22, 1948 in Clarksville, Arkansas. He was the son of the late Charles Leonard Tumbleson and Quency Elise Malick. He died May 10, 2020, at his home in Clarksville, Arkansas, at the age of 72.
Mark enjoyed serving his community. He loved spending time with his family, playing the guitar and singing. Mark was preceded in death by his parents; wife LaVahnda Kay Wright Tumbleson; son Greg Tumbleson; two sisters: Charlene Dodge and Louise Smith Ridgely.
Survivors include daughter, Anita Kay (Eddie) Birdsong of Richmond, Missouri; brother Fred (Sandy) Tumbleson; Sisters: Phyllis (Tony) Oliver and Wanda (Bryan) Scroggins; daughter in-law Carla Tumbleson; sister in-law: Jan (Jim) Bridges and Deannie Wright; brother in-law Burl (Deanna) Wright; friend Connie Gregory of the home and her two children Hope Childers and Sherry Marshall; seven grandchildren, Kaleb (Hannah) Birdsong, Taylor (Marie) Tumbleson, Josh (Aimee) Petersen, Lydia (Rob) LaRue, Jerrett (Megan) Tumbleson, Blake Tumbleson, Dakota (Mariah) Tumbleson; twelve great-grandchildren, Katie Peterson, Kaia Peterson, Kolt Peterson, Kenzi Petersen, Maverick Birdsong, Roman Birdsong, Harper Birdsong, Trey LaRue, Isaiah LaRue, Landree Tumbleson, Parker Tumbleson, and Kolson Tumbleson.
Visitation will be 10:00 a.m. - 4:00 p.m. Wednesday, May 13, 2020, Roller-Cox Funeral Home, Clarksville, Arkansas. Graveside services will be 2:00 p.m., Thursday, May 14, 2020 Minnow Creek Cemetery with Rev. Robbie Jackson, Denton Tumbleson and Reverend Erwin Petty officiating.
Pallbearers will be Kaleb Birdsong, Taylor Tumbleson, Josh Petersen, Lydia LaRue, Jerrett Tumbleson, Blake Tumbleson, Dakota Tumbleson. Honorary Pallbearers will be Carroll Sherrill, Don Dougan, Ernest Cook, John Hodge, Jim Bridges, Amos Pledger, Junior Young, and Claude Woodard.
I am truly sad to hear of the loss of a great man. Mark had become a good friend to me and shopped at my Music Store. I know that he had a love for music.
