of Maumelle, AR
March 25, 2020
Earlene Foster Hinkle, 88, died in Hospice Care at Baptist Medical Center in Little Rock, AR on Wednesday, March 25, 2020. She was born in Luber, AR on August 2, 1931 to Thomas Thuman Foster and Roxie Vilena (Lewellen) Foster.
Earlene is survived by two daughters, Markay Dearien, and Renay Behar, and a son, Marvin Clian Dearien, JR (Michelle). She is survived by her half siblings, Kay Strutton, Jane Rahrovani, Regina Wilson, Joan Hankins, Ronda Leonard, and Gary Foster. She is survived by four grandchildren, Matthew Dearien, Mason Dearien, Michael Dearien, and Justin Mitchell (Lauren). She was blessed with two beautiful great-granddaughters Mia and Emersyn.
Preceding her in death were her parents, her step-mother, Laura Leona (Talburt) Foster, her first husband, Marvin Clian Dearien, her second husband Charles Alvin Hinkle, her sisters, Blondie Sefers and Sue Sharper, half sister, Linda Ann (Foster) Farris, half brothers John Foster and Jerry Wayne Foster.
Earlene lived in Mountain View most of her life and was a 1949 graduate of Mountain View High School. She and Clian owned the Stone County Gas Company for many years and happily served the Mountain View community. Earlene was a member of the Mountain View United Methodist Church and served the church for many years as Secretary and Treasurer among many other duties.
After her marriage to Charles they remained in Mountain View for several years before moving to Maumelle, AR where they were members of the Maumelle United Methodist Church. Earlene and Charles traveled the world during the peak of their senior years and enjoyed many wonderful adventures. An interesting tidbit is that Charles and Earlene were neighbors and childhood friends who often walked to school together. Some stories floating around suggest that Earlene used to throw rocks at Charles! Apparently he didn't mind!!
Earlene was a beloved daughter, wife, mother, and grandmother. She happily prepared meals, kept household chores done, and kept a spotless home. Once her grandchildren were born, she transitioned into the perfect grandmother. For example, each of the grandchildren liked a different sweet treat. The boys anxiously looked forward to their turn to spend their night with Nanna (Earlene). Without fail she would have their favorite homemade sweet treat ready and waiting!
Graveside services for Mrs. Hinkle will take place on Saturday, March 28, 2020 at 2pm at East Richwoods Cemetery, officiated by Reverend Aubrietta Jones. Pallbearers are Marvin Dearien, JR, Matthew Dearien, Mason Dearien, and Michael Dearien. Honorary Pallbearer, Phillip Alderson.
We will miss you but we will always love you a bushel and a peck and a hug around the neck. We will love you to the moon and back 10,000 times.
