Hale Mitchell, 86, of Fifty Six, Arkansas passed away on Monday, March 23, 2020 at the Waters of Mountain View in Mountain View, Arkansas. Hale was born on January 15, 1934 in Fifty Six, Arkansas to the late Walter Mitchell and Nellie (Deatherage) Conway (Hubert). Hale was a veteran of the United States Air Force and was a member of Big Flat Assembly of God Church. He retired from the U.S. Forest Service after many years of dedicated service. Hale will be greatly missed by all of his loving family and friends.

Hale is survived by his beloved wife, Bonnie (Balentine) Mitchell; two daughters, Donna C. Mitchell and Debbie Watts (Larry); one brother, S.W. Mitchell (Geraldine); two grandchildren, Lori Diffey (Matt), Sheridan Watts (Kena), and family friend Beverly Scott along with many extended family and friends.

Hale was preceded in death by his parents, Walter Mitchell and Hubert and Nellie (Deatherage) Conway; brothers, Sloan Mitchell, Harold Mitchell and Gary Dale Conway, and one grandchild, Kristy Watts.

A graveside service for Hale was held on Wednesday, March 25, 2020, 11:00 AM at Fifty Six Cemetery in Fifty Six, Arkansas with his grandson, Sheridan Watts officiating.

Pallbearers are Sheridan Watts, Larry Watts, Matt Diffey, Dennis Treat, and Takumi Nishiuchi. Honorary pallbearers are S.W. Mitchell, Jimmy Mitchell, Ronnie Wilson, Kena Watts, Lori Diffey, Harry Wiseman, Larry Milligan, and James Ramey.

Roller Coffman Crouch Funeral Home in Mountain View, Arkansas is in charge of the arrangements.

I am so sorry to hear of Hale's passing. He was a wonderful man and will be missed by all. He and my Dad worked a lot of years together at the Forest Service. Thoughts and prayers for you all.

Bro. Hale was one of the kindest and most laidback individuals I've ever known. I always enjoyed whatever time I was able to spend with him and Sis. Bonnie. May God's comfort flood your hearts and homes during this season. Prayers are with you and your family in the coming days.
