Russell Parks, 72, of Clinton, was promoted to his eternal reward from his home on March 18, 2020. He was born on August 27, 1947 to Clayburn and Annetta (Durney) Parks in Artesia, CA. In January of 1977 he married the love of his live, Bernadene, in Artesia, CA. He has now been reunited with his wife and his parents who preceded and was waiting for him.
Russell Parks earthly life was filled with many wonderful events and experiences. Marrying the love of his life and the birth of his daughter was two very great highlights of his life. His family was of great importance to him. He had many hobbies that included his almost daily fishing trips and riding his motorcycles. The grandest part of Russell's life was when he came to know Jesus Christ as his Lord and Savior. Through his relationship with Jesus, Russell answered God's call to enter the ministry. For many years he was a Pentecostal Evangelist and Pastor, telling everyone he met the good news of the Gospel of Jesus and how to have everlasting life. Russell's last words before his departure was, ''To all my family and friends, read John 3:16, ''For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.''
The memory of Russel Parks will be cherished by his family; daughter, Anetta Parks; grandchildren, Jessica Julian, Elizabeth Julian, Vivian Julian, Judy Julian, Josh Valencia, Sarah Valencia, Rachel Valencia; great-grandchildren, Isabelah Julian, Eva Julian, William Julian, Libby Payne, Claire Payne, Luke Valencia, Emma Valencia, Addison Valencia and Jakob Valencia. Other family and survivors are; son-in-law, Johnny Julian, JR, Mikey Huisman, Billy Ingram, Richard Boyd and Tim Valencia, his fellow Pastors and many friends that he gained over the years.
A memorial service for Russell Parks will be held at a future time and place to be determined. Pastor Johnny W. Julian, JR. will be officiating the services.
