Annette "Jo" Aley, 77, of Little Rock, Arkansas passed away on March 17, 2020. She was born to the late Lloyd and Norma Hardin on February 12, 1943 in Little Rock, Arkansas.

Jo is remembered as a kind-hearted and generous woman. She offered comfort, care and friendship to many over her lifetime.

Her generous nature extended to her career path of working for the Arkansas Department of Human Services- which she retired from in January of 2014. While she worked for DHS, the project she was most passionate about was their annual toy drive that serves Arkansas foster children.

She was extremely crafty and could do anything from cake decorating to painting. She also loved to bowl, garden, and spend time playing the slots at the casinos.

Along with her parents, Annette is preceded in death by her first husband, James Augustine; sons, Patrick Aley and Randy Aley; step-son, Gary Aley; brother, Jeff Hardin; and sister, Carol Carroll.

She is survived by her partner of over 30 years, Roy West; children, Amberle (Scott) Moody, Ronald Aley and Billie Jo Helsel; grandson that she raised as her own, Charlie Aley; Roy's children, Mike West and Beth West; sisters, Mary Louise Baker, Linda Johnson and Letha Fullbright; grandchildren, Jeremy (Tori) Folsom, Chelsea Folsom, Charlie Aley, Lucas Freeman, and Zachary West; great-grandchildren, Izak, Braden and Nathan along with numerous nieces and nephews.

I always loved Aunt Jo. I don't know if anyone else can relate to this but EVERY time I hear Peter Paul & Mary, I think of her. I remember crying to it on the drive all the way to upstate NY when we moved from Arkansas in 1974. I hope everyone who knew her will be as lucky as I am to carry sick a vivid and tangible memory. RIP and say Hi to Mom & Dad!
