Leisa "Lisa" Irene Hoofman

of Conway, AR

March 15, 1967 - March 12, 2020

Leisa Irene Hoofman, 53, was born on March 15, 1967 to Jerry Dale and Linda Johnson Hoofman in Searcy, Arkansas. She passed from this life on Thursday, March 12, 2020 in Conway, Arkansas. She was preceded in death by her dad, Jerry Dale Hoofman, one brother, Ricky Hoofman, her maternal grandparents, Carthel and Ida Johnson and her paternal grandparents Plez & Virginia Hoofman.

She is survived by her mother, Linda Hoofman of Judsonia; one sister Vikki of Arden, North Carolina and one brother Jamie of Benton, Arkansas.

Our precious Lisa walked for the first time, right into the arms of Jesus and talked the first time to her dad and brother when she left this world. They are all walking down the streets of gold together. She will be missed but we would not wish her back for anything. She is healed and healthy now. Lisa was such a blessing to all her family, teaching us that we do not have to be perfect to be happy.

She would light up and be so happy when mom would take her a ''frosty''. She loved it and would eat every bite.

She will be missed by her mother, her sister Vikki and her brother Jamie along with all her aunts, uncles and cousins.

A Visitation will be held Sunday afternoon from 1:30-3:30PM at Roller-Daniel Funeral Home Chapel with a Graveside service at 11:00AM on Monday, March 16, 2020 at White County Memorial Gardens in Searcy.

One of my favorite movies of all time ends with the line, “don’t forget to notice the collateral beauty.” It is a reminder that running alongside all darkness, tragedy, and every type of misery, is also light, goodness, and beauty.

Despite the obvious difficulty of your life, your beauty is in your living. I doubt it’s presumptuous to say you reminded us all to savor the simple joys of living.
Feeling bubbles swarming in a bath with a sibling, that delightful and often overlooked sound that soft paper makes when you crinkle it, and how six ounces of chocolate ice cream could turn an ordinary afternoon into a moment of sheer bliss. Thank you for teaching us.

But we are elated to think of you now released fully into freedom. Last night, your brother said, “I can see her running, and twirling through a field of wildflowers.”
I’ve heard that in Heaven, flowers are the most beautiful shades of colors we have never seen, and that they actually sing. My dear, they must have hit the most joyful refrain as you ran past.

I imagine you’ve already chosen your favorite flower for its color and shape, and found a whole field of them that you can’t wait to show us.

I’m reminded of this beautiful story by the mother of a boy named Adam, and she said, “they say that in heaven, time is compared to the blink of an eye for us on earth.” She goes on to say, “Sometimes I think of Adam running through a beautiful field of wildflowers. He’s so happy, completely caught up in what he’s doing. But then, he looks back, like he used to do when he ran ahead of me at the airport or the mall or wherever, and smiles—because in the blink of his eye passes the rest of my life, and I am right there behind him.”

And we will be right there behind you, in the blink of your eye. Watching your body move with poise and grace, your lips part to speak and break out in smile, unlocking the mysteries of your mind, as they flow freely for us in tandem with the beauty of your spirit.

To our beautiful sister girl, Leisa.

Oh Lisa, I am so happy that you are doing all the things you couldn’t do on this earth. You were loved by so many people. I know you are going to be missed, but I know so many who went ahead of you to Heaven greeted you with joy. Rest In Peace.
