Bobbie Jo Virgies was born on April 6, 1951 in Wilson, Arkansas to the union of Clarence Jr, and Margaret Parker. She confessed her hope in Christ at an early age under the leadership of Reverend O.T. Williams in Bethlehem Baptist Church. Bobbie graduated from Rosenwald in 1968 and went to UAPB where she graduated in 1972. Bobbie was a teacher with the Headstart Program for thirty-two years. She enjoyed the children and parents. She was the biological Mother to one, but was the Mother to many throughout the years at Headstart. Bobbie entered eternal rest on Thursday, March 5, 2020 at A.G. Rhodes Health & Rehabilitation Center in Marietta, Georgia. She is preceded in death by her father: Clarence Parker; brothers: George Parker Sr. and Clarence Edward Parker. Survived by her daughter she cherished: Shalawn Jefferson (Myron); sisters: Maxine Doolittle (Esther) of Pine Bluff, AR, Gloria Ann Clark of Osceola, AR., Margaret Gaskin of St. Louis, MO. and Phyllis Long of Little Rock, AR.; brother: James Parker (Tracy) of Blacklick, Ohio; two grandsons; one great-grand-daughter and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends. She leaves a special friend/play sister from the first grade: Gloria Harris. Visitation will be Saturday, March 14 at 12:00 to 1:00 PM, funeral service will be Saturday, March 14 at 2:00 PM at Bethlehem Church. Interment will be at Whiteside Cemetery. I miss you so much. We talked about you last night. I think about you daily. I need you to kick me out of the family again lol or to fry fish again so that I can come eat it. You impacted my life way more than I ever was able to tell you. Thank you.
