Betty Louise Smith Machen Mauldin, 90, of North Little Rock, joined her Loved Ones in Heaven March 2, 2020. She was born in Wewoka, Oklahoma. Raised in the Morrilton area until she was a teenager when they moved to NLR. Betty graduated from NLRHS in 1947. Betty married Rufe (R.J.) Mauldin in 1967 and they had a good life until his death in 2005. They enjoyed bowling, Oaklawn, traveling with friends, camping and fishing at lake Nimrod. Betty loved her "girl trips" whether it was lunch or a road trip to Nashville.

Betty was preceded in death by her husband 38 years, R.J. Mauldin; parents, William Smith and Bess Ramer; siblings, Jim Smith (Noel) and Mildred Stutsman (Karl); nephew, Karl Stutsman Jr.; nieces, Deborah Sawyer, Melanie Crabtree, and Teresa Stutsman.

She has a wonderful group of nieces, nephews, and great-nieces and nephews. She loved them all so very much.

A special Thank You to Mom's caregivers at Robinson Nursing Home and Kindred Hospice.

My favorite memory is her attending Easter Service with Linda & Jim. She told me over & over what a pretty dress I had on. She made me smile and a lasting memory of a very sweet lady. Love you Linda and my heart is sad I can’t be there but I will be thinking about you. Have peace in your heart you took very good care of your mom.
