Lorri Ann Clark

of Shirley, AR

October 26, 1960 - February 29, 2020

On October 26, 1960 at Conway Regional Hospital in Conway, AR, we were blessed with a baby girl (4 lb. / 11 oz.) and was given the name, Lorri Ann Clark. From that day until Saturday, February 29, 1:06am Lorri has blessed us all with her beautiful smile and her spirited heart! Lorri has touched so many lives in so many different ways. Lorri's life seems so short to us, but those who were touched by her love of life understood that the quality of existence far exceeded the quantity of time in which one lives. Her beautiful smile, tiny strong hands, and wonderful heart brought so much joy to us.

Although Lorri was deaf and had physical struggles at times, she showed us all how to be courageous even when life could be difficult and reminded us of the preciousness of life. She loved to rock and coo all babies around her; even the ones in the shopping carts at Walmart or sitting at Taco Bell eating lunch. She could make them laugh and calm their cries and fears.

She kept her apartment upstairs in immaculate shape. She liked everything in its place and loved to decorate for Christmas. She loved to crochet, work puzzles, and chat/text with her family and friends on FaceTime and her video relay home phone.

Lorri attended Arkansas School for the Deaf in Little Rock from 1966-1980. Lorri loved going to church at Antioch General Baptist Church in Fox, AR and hold all the new babies. She loved going to the Shirley, Fox, and Clinton basketball games. She actually even attended a few Razorback games and did she ever root for those Hogs. If you were standing outside on her porch at home and she was watching a game; you knew she was calling them Hogs! She attended the Van Buren Co. Special School in Choctaw, AR and loved going on their day trips and visiting with all her friends. In Little Rock she worked at a Food Pantry Ministry with Charity Community Church.

Lorri is survived by her loving parents, Roy Dale and Jereta Huie Clark of Shirley, AR; sister Kimberly Fenley Trice (Clarence) of Little Rock; nephews, Matthew Fenley (Jo, Arley, Wyley, and Oakley Bird), Mark Fenley (Katie and Payge), and Luke Fenley (Hanna, Emma, and Kylee) of Quitman. Lorri is also survived by aunts, uncles, many cousins and thousands of friends.

She was preceded in death by her grandparents, Hebert and Otha Clark of Shirley, AR; Layne and Lois Huie of Clinton, AR, and a brother, David Wayne Clark of Shirley, AR.

The family wishes to send a special thank you to the staff at Conway Regional Hospital CCU, Dr. Vicki Stancil and staff, Dr. Kevin Heath and staff, and Dr. Mary Jo Shaver and staff for their years of care, compassion, and love.

Visitation Service will be from 6 to 8 pm on Monday, March 2 at Roller McNutt Funeral home in Clinton, AR.

A Celebration of Life Service will be held at Roller McNutt Funeral Home in Clinton, AR on Tuesday, March 3 at 1 pm. Burial will be at Weaver Cemetery, Shirley, AR.

Following the burial a Celebration Fellowship honoring Lorri's life will be at the Outreach Center (Antioch General Baptist Church) in Fox, AR. Lorri's kind of meal will follow. Memorials in lieu of flowers may be made to Van Buren County Special School in Choctaw, AR

Roy Dale, Jerita, and family: So sorry to hear of your loss of Lorri here on earth. It's always sad when someone we love is no longer with us, but we do know that in her case, our loss is Heaven's gain! We enjoyed getting to know Lorri while we were in AR. She was always happy and smiling--I think she loved everybody :-)...and everybody loved her in return! Such pleasant memories of a wonderful, courageous, happy, & loving daughter you must have. Our sincere sympathy, Juanema & Wendell
