Gloria Pauline Copeland Gillam

of Harrison, AR

November 27, 1956 - February 18, 2020

Gloria Pauline Copeland Gillam, age 63, passed away on Tuesday, February 18, 2020, at Arkansas Hospice at St. Vincent Hospital in Hot Springs, Arkansas. She was born November 27, 1956, in Harrison, the daughter of Paul and Verma (Dell) Copeland. Along with her parents, Gloria was preceded in death by her maternal grandparents, Bernice and Irma McGraw; her paternal grandparents, Gordon and Maude Copeland; her aunts, Dorothy Main and Blanche Owens; her uncles, James Copeland and Archie Copeland; and her cousins, Doris Owens and Alicia McGraw.

Gloria is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Rick and Ronda Gillam, of Colorado Springs, Colorado; her grandson, Brian Gillam, of Colorado Springs; and her brother and sister-in-law, Dennis and Carol Copeland, of Conway, Arkansas.

She is also survived by her nephews and their spouses, Brennan and Shelly McCutchen of Conway and Craigan and Elizabeth Copeland of Little Rock, Arkansas; three great-nephews, Cash and Cam Copeland and Max McCutchen; her great-niece, Ivy McCutchen; her aunt, June Pinkley, of Harrison; her uncle, Gordon Ben McGraw, of Harrison; her cousins, Mike Pinkley of Springfield, Missouri, Bodie Pinkley of Mountain Home, Arkansas, Janet Kurkendal of Clinton, Arkansas, Sheila Main of Clinton, Gary Main of Harrison, Jeff Main of Pontotoc, Mississippi, and Ash McGraw of San Antonio, Texas. She is also survived by her ex-husband, Randy Gillam, of Jasper, Arkansas.

Gloria was a 1975 graduate of Bergman High School. She was a homemaker. She worked at Cicero Bible Press and in the Harrison and Valley Springs Schools Food Services department. She enjoyed going to shows in Branson; camping; playing cards; listening to country music, and visiting with family and friends. She was always so proud of her son, Rickey, and of his military service to our country.

Over the past eleven years, Gloria's health began to decline. She had lived in Hillcrest Home for the last couple of years and was fortunate to have had many special caregivers throughout her life.

The family would especially like to thank Dr. Kevin Jackson and Crossroads Medical Clinic, the staff and caregivers at Hillcrest Home, and so many family and friends who have faithfully prayed for Gloria and checked in on her for many years. We are forever grateful to you all.

A memorial graveside service will be held at Maplewood Cemetery in Harrison in early April.

Donations and memorials may be made to St. Jude's Children's Research Hospital in Memphis, Tennessee or any Hospice of your choice.
