Mr. David Shelton, 81, of Brookland, passed away Tuesday, February 18, 2020, at St. Bernards Regional Medical Center. He was born in Jonesboro, December 1, 1938, to Willmer "WT" and Dollie Shelton.
Mr. Shelton enjoyed hunting, horses and working in his shop. He retired after forty-six years at Arkansas Glass Container Corporation.
Preceding him in death are his parents; a son, David Wayne Shelton; a sister, Louise McPherson; and a brother, Toby Shelton.
Survivors include his wife of thirty-two years, Vada Shelton; sons, Kenneth Ray Shelton and Tim (Diana) Henry; daughters, Dedra (Doug) Duff and Margaret (Gene) Franklin; grandchildren, Brittany (Chad) Long, Bryson Duff, Dylon Mounce and Camden Waugh; brothers, Jerry (Janice) Shelton and Thomas (Betty) Shelton; sisters, Wilma Easley and Hilda (John) Bennett; a special friend, Karry Wortham.
Graveside funeral services will be at Pine Log Cemetery Friday, February 21, at noon, with Jerry and Thomas Shelton officiating. Pallbearers include Gene Franklin, Doug Duff, Chad Long, Danny Mounce, Randy Ryan and Karry Wortham. Serving as honorary bearers are Brian Dement, E.J. Buhrmester, Bill Nelms, Steve Shelton, Stan Shelton and David Lewis Shelton.
Visitation is at Roller-Farmers Union Funeral Home Friday from 10:00am - 11:00am.
