Gwen was born in Calico Rock, Arkansas November 12, 1938 to Columbus and Ruby Jones. The family moved about the country in search of work finally settling in Bloomfield, New Mexico in 1953 where after finishing school Gwen met and married Floyd Earl Proctor in 1957. The couple began a family of five children which would blossom into 16 grandchildren and 21 greatgrandchildren.
As the children grew Gwen began a career in sales and retired to Hagarville, Arkansas to assist her aging parents. Gwen enjoyed crafts such as crocheting, knitting and painting as well as exercising the green thumb she inherited from her father. Gwen returned to her father to continue gardening in paradise on January 30, 2020. Left behind to mourn her passing are the five children; Veronica (Troy) Terry, Fred (Lori) Proctor, Meridee Barker, Martha (Ron) Sharp, Tracie (Victor) Gallegos, the 37 grand/ great grandchildren numerous extended family members and the Hagarville community.
Gwen is preceded in death by her parents Columbus and Ruby Jones, brothers William, Wayne and James Robert. A celebration of Gwen's life will be held at Roller-Cox funeral home in Clarksville, Arkansas at 10:00 A.M. on Monday February 3, 2020.
