Richard E. Parker, 79, of Benton passed away Wednesday, January 29, 2020 at St. Vincent Hospice in Little Rock. He was born August 23, 1940 in Benton, Arkansas to the late Houston and Leatha Collins Parker. Mr Parker had retired from Reynolds Metals after 30 years. He was of the Baptist faith and an avid sports and Arkansas Razorbacks fan.
Besides his parents he was preceded in death by his wife, Nancy Karen Parker, two sisters, Aileen Ridling and Joan Moseley, and one brother, David Parker.
Survivors include two sons, Wayne Parker (Ginny) of Benton and Jimmy Parker (Ashley) of Bryant; two daughters, Lesa King (Doug) of Bryant and Donna Ivey (Lloyd) of Bauxite; one sister, Marilyn Burks of Magnet Cove; two brothers, Keith Parker of Magnet Cove and Larry Parker (Vicki) of Sims, AR; 8 grandchildren, Chris King (Shana), Dustin King, Hailey Necessary (Ben), Garrett Parker (Rachel), Korie Pique (Chase), Cameron Wiliams, Brooklynn Parker, and Payton Martin (Keaton), and 3 great grandchildren, Carson King, Cambree King, and Easton Necessary.
Funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, February 1, 2020 in the chapel of Roller-Ballard Funeral Home (315-4047) with Bro. Scotty Nalley officiating. Interment will follow in Smith- New Rosemont Cemetery
Visitation will be held one hour prior to service at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday at the funeral home.
So sorry to hear about Richard. He was always kind to me when we were growing up. Our thoughts and prayers are with the family.
