J.D. Holt, age 63 of Batesville, Arkansas passed from this life on Friday, January 17th, 2020 at White River Medical Center in Batesville. He was born in Big Flat, Arkansas on June 27th, 1956 to Otto Holt and Edna Wallace Holt.
J.D. was a member of the Big Flat Baptist Church. He enjoyed singing and playing guitar. He was an avid outdoorsman and liked living in the country. He also enjoyed fishing. J.D. loved his family and grandchildren very much.
Survivors include his wife Angela Tharp Holt of Batesville; his children, Johnny Dale Holt (Jennifer) of Gideon, MO, Amanda Mae Holt of Jepp, Samuel Richard Holt (Christie) of Melbourne, Teresa Dawn Mulderig (Jeremy) of Glencoe, Jeffrey Daniel Holt (Jessica) of Viola, April Elizabeth Esposito (T.J.) of Batesville and Sarah Jane Slaughter (Roger) of Batesville; twenty eight grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; brother, Lonnie Holt and wife Betty of Big Flat; sister-in-law, Carolyn Sue Clark; and brother-in-law, Amos Tharp (Carmen) of Cushman; and many other family and friends who will mourn his passing.
J.D. is preceded in death by his parents, Otto and Edna Holt; and siblings, David Holt, Walsie Dye, Pauline Fey, Hazel Montgomery, Lillie Mae Hewitt, Bobby Holt and Charlie Holt.
Funeral services for J.D. will be 2:00 PM Thursday, January 23rd, 2020 at Big Flat Baptist Church with Bro. Troy Dye officiating. Burial will be in Big Flat Cemetery. Honorary Bearers will be T.J. Esposito, Ronnie McCoy, Johnny Holt, Sam Holt, Jeff Holt, Sam Massey, James Dye, Tommy Dale Massey and Roger Slaughter.

I love my Uncle JD & I will greatly miss him. I could always count on him to be there when I needed him the most- he'll always be w/ me in my heart & watching over me from up above.
Fly high JD I remover the first day I met you you and I talked about fishing but we never got the chance to go fishing together you will be missed by many.
