I will miss Bill Couch very much. Bill was the “father of Couch Genealogy research.” Bill, along with Dr. Robert H. Couch, deceased, of Auburn, Alabama, along with Jerry Benedict of Austin, Texas, were top notch when it came to Couch genealogy research. Bill Couch got me started in researching my Couch ancestors some 25 or so years ago. Bill was very gifted, and he will leave a trail for all Couch researchers to follow in the future. Thanks for all your work, Bill.

We will miss Bill every much. It was always a pleasure to have him on our group genealogy phone calls. It seemed very family friendly with voices and dogs in the background. It made it feel like we were all just sitting around on a big front porch having a family conversation. HIs contributions were legend, no matter who someone mentioned, Bill had a memory about them. I will always be sad that we never managed to sit on that porch together. Perhaps someday in the hereafter.

Bill Couch, he was one of the most welcoming people I've ever met. I stumbled on his Arkansas Genealogy Project page 25 years ago and traded phone calls, emails, a visit or two and numerous research break-throughs. He was a gifted researcher and leaves a legacy for generations of the descendants of "Old" Thomas Couch and many maternal lines. Going to miss you buddy but we'll meet again one day.

So sorry to hear about Bill. His contribution to our Couch's genealogy is without measure. We could not have made progress without his valuable input and feedback. We will miss him for a long time.
