Darrell E. Barnett, 82, of Sherwood, passed away Tuesday, January 7, 2020. He was born July 31, 1937 to the late Vernon and Mae Clay Barnett in Searcy.
Darrell retired from Timex after a successful career of 39 years. He started as a materials handler and moved his way up to management with hard work and determination. In Darrell's free time you could find him at his farm in Gravel Hill with family or on his tractor.
Darrell is survived by his wife Phyllis Talley Barnett; daughter, Tammie Barnett Blakemore of Maumelle; son, Curtis Barnett (Karen) of Little Rock; two grandchildren, Sydney Blakemore, Collin Barnett; two sisters, Sharron Clements of Conway, Darlene Murphree (Nathan) of Rose Bud; and multiple nieces, nephews and friends.
Funeral Service will be held at 1:00 PM, Thursday, January 9, 2020 at Roller-Owens Funeral Home, 5509 John F. Kennedy Blvd, North Little Rock, AR 72116. Visitation will be from 5:00-7:00 PM Wednesday, January 8, 2020 at the funeral home. Inurnment will be private at a later date.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to: Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation of Arkansas, 11324 Arcade Drive, Suite 16, Little Rock, AR 72212.
The family would like to thank the ICU nurses at Baptist Springhill for their care and compassion.
