Robert (Bob) Preston Courtney was born on November 23, 1927 and left this earth on January 5, 2020 to join his beloved and loving wife of 64 years, Patsy (Pat) Courtney in the arms of Jesus. He is also preceded in death by his parents William Preston Courtney, and mother, Mable Elliot Courtney Powell; his stepfather, Homer Powell. Bob was a sergeant in the US Army Air Force during WWII and in the Korean War. He also served in the National Guard. After being discharged from the service Bob went to work for the US Postal Service. He served as a faithful letter carrier there for 36 years. He was an elder and deacon at his church, Parkview Christian. Bob was also a member of the masonic lodge and served as State Rainbow Dad From 1987 to 1988.

He is survived by his brother, William Bigsby Courtney of Arlington, TX, his three daughters: Pamela Lemke (Carl) of El Paso, TX, Kathy Douglass of Little Rock, AR and Robbin Bemus of Sherwood, AR; his six grandchildren: Samuel Douglass (Stacy), James Douglass (Martha), all of Little Rock, AR, Joseph Lemke and Jennifer Woolf (David) of El Paso, TX, Joshua Bemus, Melissa and Adam Bemus, all of Sherwood, AR; two great-grandchildren Loyd and Darlene Woolf of El Paso, TX and one special niece, Debra Courtney Hitch (Richard) of Arlington, TX. Bob will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved Him.

Visitation will be held at Roller-Drummond Funeral Home at 10900 Interstate I-30 in Little Rock, AR from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm on Thursday, January 9 and services at the same location, Friday, January 10, 2020 at 10 am, internment at Forrest Hills Cemetery, Alexander, AR.

Robbin and to the Courtney family. I am so sorry for your loss. Mr. Courtney was such a happy guy who loved his family and let me hang out with the family and feel like a part of it. He will be missed. Robbin you are in my prayers..
