Morris Roderick ''Rod'' Hinton, 73 of Lakeland, TN, passed away on Friday, January 3, 2020, at Baptist Reynolds Hospice House, in Collierville, TN.

He was born January 14, 1946, in Springfield, KY, to John and Francis Hinton.

He was preceded in death by his parents; and his wife, Sandra Hinton, from his first marriage.

Those left behind to cherish his memory are his loving wife, Janice Hinton; his two sisters-in-laws, Rebecca Phillips (Michael), and Eva Desmarias; his two brother-in-laws, Jerry Rhodes (Pattie) and Lonnie Rhodes (Sheryl); and all of his great-saints from his church.

Brother Rod was a faithful member, for over thirty-five years, of Friendship Harbor Church, in Millington, TN, where he enjoyed playing music in the worship band, serving as a lay minister, and traveling around for the body of Christ.

Visitation will be held at Friendship Harbor Church, 8916 Austin Peay Hwy, Millington, TN, on Wednesday, January 8, 2020, from 11AM to 12PM, with a funeral service immediately following.

Interment will be at Memphis Memory Gardens, 6444 Raleigh Lagrange Rd, Memphis, TN.
