Thompson, 88, of Mountain View passed away Thursday (Dec. 12,
2019) at the Stone County Medical Center. He was known for his
selfless actions, working hard, loving his family and telling others
''Jesus Loves You''. He loved a good Cowboy movie and always told
stories about his life, including ''How Not to Make a Biscuit like a
Rock''.

Richard Thompson was born May 18, 1931, in Ohio, Tuscarawas County, a son of Edison Thompson and Lucille Morton. He married Eulalia Wilmoth on August 3, 1958, in West Virginia. He was also a member of the Four Square Crabtree Church in Clinton,
Arkansas.

Surviving are a daughter, Betsy (Mark) Workman of
Fredericksburg, Ohio and their four children, Jaime Brockway, Brian
Workman, Charity Workman, and Tabitha Workman; two sisters, Virginia (Ginger) Ullom of Wooster, Ohio and Jeanette Holler of Creston, Ohio; a daughter-in-law, Brenda Thompson of Mountain View; and his other grandchildren, Samantha Thompson of Conway, Jessie Thompson of Mountain View, and Caleb Thompson of Mountain View.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Edison Thompson and Lucille Morton; his wife, Eulalia Wilmoth; his brother, Edison Thompson Jr.; two sisters, Evelyn Smith and Rebecca Vosburgh; a son, Sammy Thompson; a grandchild, Kyle Workman; and his 8 day old daughter, JoAnn.

He will be laid to rest at the Crabtree Cemetery in Clinton, Arkansas during a private funeral family affair.
