Brenda Sherrill

of Sherwood, AR

September 28, 1943 - December 2, 2019

Brenda Sherrill, 76, went peacefully into the arms of her Lord and Savior on December 2, 2019 after a 12-year battle with Alzheimer's Disease.

She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister and friend. She never met a stranger and always put the needs of others above her own.

She was an active member of Sylvan Hills First Baptist Church for 37 years until her disease progressed. She had the gift of helping others throughout her life and even through her work. This included working with the handicap, running a store that would benefit those in need and even having a daycare in her home. She enjoyed the beach, traveling, swimming, framing art and spending time with her family. She loved her family with all of her heart. She was truly a gift to those who knew her. Her motto in this life was to live a life for God and one day she would hear the words of her Savior ''Well done, my good and faithful servant.''

She is preceded in death by her parents, Wellingon Wells and Verna Stanford.

She is survived by her loving and devoted husband of 56 years, Tommy Sherrill; three beautiful children, Vince Sherrill of Sherwood (Shawn), Todd Sherrill of Mt Vernon (Beverly) and Alicia Wells of Sherwood (Justin). She has 6 grandchildren, Brooke Lancaster (Brandon), Brad Sherrill (Jordan), Brandon Sherrill, Colton Sherrill, Dixie Sherrill and William Wells, three great-grandchildren, Lillie, Rylee, and Lynlee; seven siblings, Ronnie Wells, Janet Mason (AJ), Lois Henry, Bruce Wells, Shirley Henson (George), Sandie Kiser (Mike) and Carla Mitchell (Bob), and a host of other nieces and nephews.

A funeral service will be held at 11:00 AM on Thursday, December 5, 2019 at Roller-Owens Funeral Home, 5509 JFK Blvd in North Little Rock, Arkansas, with burial to follow at Arkansas State Veterans Cemetery. A visitation will be held prior to the service beginning at 10:00 AM at the funeral home.

Serving as her pallbearers are Vince Sherrill, Todd Sherrill, Brad Sherrill, Brandon Sherrill and Justin Wells.

Thank you to everyone who helped care for Brenda at Sherwood Nursing & Rehab.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Alzheimer's Association, 225 N. Michigan Ave., Fl. 17, Chicago, IL 60601.

Tommy, Vince, Todd, and Alicia, I know I don’t have to tell you what you’re family means to me. Louise and I enjoyed being your neighbors for over 30 years. I will cherish the memories. You all are in my prayers.

Aunt Brenda I'm so blessed to have been able to call you Aunt. You were a beautiful person inside and out. You were such a loving Mom, Wife and Friend to so many. And don't let me forget your love for your Dog. I will miss you, however I get comfort in knowing that we will see each again one day. You would be so proud of Uncle Tommy and Alicia, they were with you everyday.
Love you, Debbie
