On November 29, 2019, Roger L. Proctor, 78, peacefully passed away at his home in Greenbrier, Arkansas, where he was with family, as was his wish. He fought a long battle with illnesses stemming from COPD. Roger Proctor was born December 1, 1940, in West Helena, Arkansas, to Alfred Alan Proctor and Releta Louine Proctor. He was preceded in death by his parents and sisters, Releta Ruth Purvis and Wanda Elizabeth Proctor. He served in the U.S. Navy for 22 years as an Aviation Electrician's Mate, obtaining the rank of Chief Petty Officer before retiring to Greenbrier, Arkansas. Roger leaves behind his loving wife of 58 years, Wanda "Tiny" Proctor; children, Stephen (Marie) Proctor and Marvin Proctor; grandchildren, Kayla Proctor, Matthew Everett, Andrew Proctor, Stephanie Dunaway, Michelle Everett and Savanah Faulk; brother, Robert F. Proctor; and a host nieces and nephews.
The Family would like to thank the outstanding staff of Hospice Home Care of Searcy for their kind support during his illness. Per Rogers wishes, please donate to the Salvation Army or Gideon's International in lieu of flowers.
The service will be at Roller-McNutt Funeral Home in Greenbrier at 10:00am, Monday, December 2, 2019 with Erik Wofford and Daren Neely officiating.
