Charles Youngkyoo Kim, age 79, of Little Rock, Arkansas passed away peacefully on November 14, 2019.

Charles was born on February 6, 1940, in South Korea. He studied postal and telegraph communications and served in the South Korean Airforce for three years. He later moved to Chicago, IL in 1968 where he graduated from the University of Illinois in Chicago with a degree in electrical engineering.

Charles worked as a test engineer for Teletype and Lucent Technology in both Chicago and Little Rock. He lived in Bryant, AR for 34 years and was a member of the First Korean Presbyterian Church of Arkansas. He enjoyed golf, fishing, and spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren.

He is survived by his wife of almost 50 years, Mary Heamija, three children, Michelle, Charlene, and Peter, and three grandchildren Andrew, Loren, and Ethan.

The graveside funeral service will be held at 9:00 a.m. on November 16th at Forest Hills Memorial Park in Alexander. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be given to the Alzheimer's Association.
