Carl Lee Corbitt, Sr., 87 of Newport, Arkansas passed away Saturday, November 9, 2019 in Searcy, Arkansas. He was formally of West Helena, Arkansas. Carl was born to Allen and Mary Hamilton Corbitt on July 27, 1932 in Elaine, Arkansas.
Carl is survived by two sons, Joe Corbitt (Laura) and Carl Lee Corbitt, Jr.; three grandchildren, Tonya Buford (Sean), Cassie Smith (Aaron), and Blake Corbitt (Sophia); five great-grandchildren; two brothers, Buddy Corbitt and Roy Corbitt; three sisters, Joann Lawson, Martha Jackson (Poe) and Shirley Kirkly (Johnny); one sister-in-law, Fern Corbitt.
He is preceded in death by his wife of 65 years, Virginia Stegall Corbitt; parents, Allen and Mary Corbitt; three brothers, Charles Corbitt, Norman Corbitt and Virgil Corbitt; one sister, Doris Buie.
He was retired from Mohawk Rubber Company. He also loved to fish, hunt, and do light carpentry work.
A funeral service for Carl Corbitt, Sr., will be held at 2:00 p.m., Wednesday, November 13, 2019 at Roller-Citizens Funeral Home in West Helena, Arkansas. Brother Adam Rowland will officiate.

So sorry I could not make the funeral. Carl and Genger were very dear to me. Many memories of them in Helena. Gods blessing upon the family.

I am so sorry to hear about Carl. He was a good man. He helped my in-laws that lived across the street on 10th many time. A. J. And Carl talked a lot. A. J. Liked to talk fishing withCarl. Many people are going to miss Carl.
